AGCO Agriculture Foundation Grant 2023

 The  AGCO Agriculture Foundation Grant 2023 is seeking proposals from non-profit organizations and public universities /educational institutions around the world. The focus of the call for Grant Applications is on “Pillar Two: Agricultural Education Innovation “.

The AGCO Agriculture Foundation anticipates grant funds for this CAG 2023 cycle to range from $200,000 to $450,000. They expect the grant/project duration to be two or three years.

The Grant will Increase the capacity for farmers, farming communities, young people and facilitate the access to tools, training activities, and support they need to continuously improve their practices,  build resiliency and improve their profitability, and contribute to a food-secure world.

 Applicants can only submit one application under this focus pillar and must ensure the submitted application addresses some of the following areas; 

1. Identify the problems, needs, or difficulties associated with this pillar the project will aim to tackle.

2. Demonstrate a high likelihood of project success.

 3. Showcase Key activities that will be part of the project. Activities that can include but are not limited to the following; provide farmers and other stakeholders technical support, hands-on training, e-learning, vocational training in the agriculture sector, farmer field schools, and on-farm demonstrations to help them adapt to increasingly specialized agriculture techniques, shift from subsistence agriculture market-oriented production, Among others.

People/Organisations who are Eligible

  1.  Nonprofit and public universities/educational institutions with innovation solutions targeted at the increasing capacity of the farmers, and farming communities.
  2.   Nonprofit and public universities/educational institutions that are registered and recognized as charitable organizations under the law are eligible to apply for grant funding.
  3.  Farmers (small-scale and emerging farmers )
  4. Farmers’ Corporations and associations 
  5. Young farmers or women farmers 
  6. Agriculture extension officers and teachers.
